A free global guided meditation, loving-kindness practice & Reiki offering
August 30, 2026 · Online · Free
Guided meditation and reflection honoring those who have disappeared.
A loving-kindness practice for families, friends, communities and those who continue searching.
An optional Reiki offering alongside quiet contemplation. No belief in or experience with Reiki is necessary.
August 30 is the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances.
Around the world, people have been taken from their families and communities, leaving those who love them searching, waiting and living with questions that may remain unanswered for years.
STILL HERE is a small act of remembrance and solidarity.
For 30 minutes, we will gather across distance to remember those who have disappeared, hold space for those who continue to search, and offer what we can: our attention, our compassion and our presence.
We cannot meditate injustice away.
We cannot offer easy closure where none exists.
But we can refuse to forget.
For the missing.
For the disappeared.
For the families who still set a place for them.
For those who search.
For those who investigate.
For those who remember.
For those whose names we will never know.
We sit because absence should not become erasure.

You don't need to meditate.
You don't need to practice Reiki.
You don't need to know what to say.
Your presence is enough.
STILL HERE is an offering of remembrance and solidarity. Enforced disappearance is also a human-rights issue requiring truth, accountability, advocacy and action.
If you would like to continue beyond these 30 minutes:
We offer a range of accommodations to suit every need, from cozy bungalows to luxurious villas. Each of our accommodations is designed to provide a comfortable and restful experience.

The Heyokah explores what it means to become more fully human through meditation, Reiki, end-of-life presence, reflection and community.
STILL HERE is offered freely as part of that practice.
